St. Isidore's stands where County Road K meets the section line, as it has for a hundred and fifty years. The families who built it farmed this ground with horses; the families who fill it now farm it with GPS, work the hog barns and the packing plant, and came from Zacatecas, Huehuetenango and three miles down the road.
Learn more about our parishPark on the grass by the oaks and come in the side door — it's closer. Sit anywhere. The 8:30 is quiet and plain; the 11:00 is in Spanish, with guitars and a lot of children. Either way there's coffee in the hall after, and someone will ask where you farm, or where you're from, and mean it.
